Events not to miss this year in Cheshire…

With a new century upon us, 2020 has so much to offer… So that you don’t miss out on any of the amazing things to do in Cheshire this year, we have compiled the top events for the year just for you…

Knutsford Beer Festival – April

An amazing selection of 30+ cask and keg beers all under one roof for a craft beer experience in Knutsford that is worth celebrating. The Festival runs for three days at the magnificent Courthouse hotel. As well as the incredible selection of beers on offer, there is also cider, gin, wine & Prosecco at the bar.

Virginia and Rose Cottage are ideally located close to Knutsford and Tatton Park – Ideal for families or larger groups.

The Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival – April

The Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival sees the historic market town of Nantwich transformed into a charismatic lively atmosphere of beer and blues.

This is an annual festival, with many local pubs and destinations hosting famous jazz and blues performers. This Festival remains one of Cheshire’s biggest events – not to be missed!

Little Lodge is located around 30 minutes away from Nantwich and offers the perfect cosy base for couples looking to explore surrounding Cheshire during their visit.

Chester Half Marathon – May

The Chester 2020 Half Marathon starts at the famous Racecourse in the city centre, taking in the city centre sights then heading north-west out of the City on wide roads allowing runners to rapidly settle into the race, before returning back into the City for a memorable finish outside the Town Hall and Cathedral. Drinks stations, with bottled water, will be every 3 miles.

Covetside cottage offers the ideal retreat for weary feet after a long day of running, you deserve a rest in luxury and home comforts.

Tatton Park Country Fair – May

Returning for the 6th year, this family Country Fair will have something for everyone. Arena entertainment will include Equestrienne Horse Stunt Team Wild West Show, birds of prey flying displays, terrier racing, children’s entertainer Mario Magic, the goat show including bottle feeding lambs and kids, children’s petting pens, historical re-enactment on Horseback as well as the Yellow Ribbon and 17th Century Life and Times, Steam Engines,  PADS have a go scurry and display team and much more.

Birkin Farmhouse is perfect for larger families and groups looking to make a long weekend of the country fairs throughout Cheshire this summer. With large gardens and a lovely family feel, you can make yourselves right at home here.

Knutsford Royal May Day

Dating back to 1864, Knutsford’s May Day festival is a highlight of the town’s calendar and takes place on the first Saturday in May.

The event attracts thousands of visitors every year, who come to watch the parade travel along the streets of Knutsford to the Heath, where there is a crowning ceremony for the May Day Queen.

Hawthorn cottage, home to Arthur’s House in Peaky Blinders! Is a beautiful Cheshire cottage, the ideal home away from home to explore the wonders of Cheshire and beyond.

RHS Flower show Tatton Park – June

A fabulous day out bursting with colourful gardening inspiration, fun family activities, have-a-go workshops and boutique shopping.

RHS Flower Show Tatton Park returns full of spirit, colour and all that’s great about gardening.  With vibrant floral displays, stunning gardens and have-a-go workshops there’s plenty of take-home inspiration for your garden.

Stock Farm, sleeping upto 14 people, is ideal for those looking to stay in the area throughout the show.

Dog fest – June

DogFest is the UK’s Ultimate Summer Festival for Dogs. Join hundreds of dog lovers for a fun-filled weekend, alongside special guests Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and Clare Balding! Try you paw at a variety of have-a-go activities, watch back-to-back arena displays, shop the latest goodies and learn something new, whether it’s about your dog’s health or a new trick!

Rose Cottage, within walking distance of Tatton park and dog-friendly! The ideal place to stay for those who would rather not go camping and prefer home comforts.

Pub in the park – July

A exciting weekend jam packed with live music, cooking demonstrations and foodie favourites, all comes to Knutsford this summer. One date not to be missed.
